Hi, I’m emily Hecker.

I help organizations move past the copy-paste-send approach to internal communication and start using it as a tool to strengthen leadership, employee experience, and engagement.

For more than a decade, I’ve worked across industries like publishing, financial services, insurance, retail, and facilities management. My focus is helping teams turn communication into a strategic advantage. By blending internal communication strategy with business psychology, I help organizations connect the dots between what they say and how people actually think, feel, and behave.

At 26, I stepped into my first internal communication role as a team of one. Within three years, I’d built the function from scratch and shifted how it was seen—from a tactical service to a strategic business partner. That experience sparked a passion for helping others do the same, whether you're working solo or leading a team.

I’m a Certified Executive Coach (CEC), Communication Management Professional (CMP®), and the author of “Me, Myself, and IC: A Guide to Building Internal Communication as a Team of One.” My work is grounded in practical strategies, customized support, and a belief that communication can shape culture when done right.

If you're looking for a partner who understands both the science and the real-world messiness of communication, I’d love to connect.
